Known reached out to me to help them with an upcoming streaming service for CNN called CNN+.
The task was simple: Create a logo that stays true to the CNN brand by adding something new.
I created a logo with the plus sign that continues the in-line of the letter to keep it consistent and whole.
After CNN had made their choice, it was modified a bit after I sent off the documents to have a slight curve around the plus sign.
While it’s sad that it lasted a month into launch, It’s still kind of funny that I’ve had some hand in a piece of streaming history.
While conceptualizing, I’ve made a few versions where I played around a bit more with the Plus sign to give it some distinct personality.
